Return & Refund Policy

At Embercourt, we uphold a transparent return and refund policy to ensure fairness for both our customers and the store. Below are the detailed terms, including U.S.-specific rules and EU-mandated provisions:
1. General Return Eligibility
 
Return Window
30 calendar days from the date of delivery (applies to U.S. orders and non-EU international orders). Returns initiated beyond this period will not be accepted for non-quality reasons, including (but not limited to) size/color/style dissatisfaction, change of mind, or incorrect customer selection.
14 calendar days from the date of delivery (EU-mandated cooling-off period for EU orders — see Section 5 for details).
 
Valid Reasons
Quality-related issues (defects, damage, wrong items shipped): Eligible for return or exchange within 30 days (U.S./non-EU) or 14 days (EU) with valid proof of the issue.
Non-quality issues: Returns require justified cause even within the applicable window; unapproved requests will be rejected (except for EU orders covered by the cooling-off period).
 
Item ConditionsTo qualify for return, items must be unworn, unused, with original tags attached, and in intact original packaging. A valid receipt or proof of purchase is mandatory for all return requests.

3. Damages & Issues
 
Inspect your order immediately upon delivery. If you receive defective, damaged, or incorrect items, contact us promptly within the applicable return window and provide photos or proof of the issue. We will resolve the matter after verifying the item condition and purchase documentation.
4. Exchanges
 
Non-Quality Reasons (Size/Color/Quantity Adjustment)
 
 
After shipment (EU): Exchanges within the 14-day cooling-off period follow standard return conditions; customers cover shipping costs for the replacement item.
No exchanges for non-quality reasons are allowed beyond the applicable window (30 days for U.S./non-EU, 14 days for EU).

5. EU 14-Day Cooling-Off Period (EU Shipments Only)
 
For orders delivered to EU member states, customers may cancel or return items within 14 days of delivery for any reason (no justification required). To be eligible, items must be unworn, unused, with original tags and packaging intact, and accompanied by proof of purchase. This EU-mandated policy supersedes the general non-quality return restrictions but is strictly limited to the 14-day window.
6. Order Cancellation & Fulfillment (U.S. & EU)
 
Cancellation Eligibility
Orders can be canceled within 3 calendar days of placement or before shipment (whichever comes first).
Once shipped, direct cancellation is not allowed; please initiate a return after delivery if your order meets return eligibility criteria.
 
Order Processing & Delivery Timelines
We typically ship orders within 3 business days of receipt (applicable to both U.S. and EU orders).
Estimated delivery time:
U.S. customers: 5–10 business days (via USPS or other U.S. domestic carriers).
EU customers: 7–15 business days (including international shipping and local delivery).
 
7. Refunds
 
We will notify you via email once your returned item is received and inspected.
Approved refunds (quality-related returns within 30 days for U.S./non-EU, or EU 14-day cooling-off period returns) will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days of approval.
Additional processing time may be required by your bank or credit card issuer:
3–5 business days for U.S. banks.
5–7 business days for EU banks.
 
Contact us if your refund is not reflected in your account within 15 business days of our approval notification.
